DEAR GIRLS/WOMEN...

So, this an all of a sudden, extremely random post.

Hi girls/women. This is for all of us who feel less empowered or are less motivated than we should have been. The issue is not that we undermine ourselves. The issue is that we let people undermine us. To be specific, I would say that we all face such situations where we want to do something and we stop, or are stopped because it is as per the vision of the society a mainly male oriented work and we need not to touch that sensitive topic or work. WE DARE NOT DO THAT, AS PER THE SO CALLED SOCIETY. The fear or the stoppage is so much that we get so used to not doing things by ourselves. We get so used to either making boys/men do it for us or just never thinking again about it.

DO IT.

That business you want to start, START TODAY.

That dress you've been waiting an occasion so special to wear, WEAR IT.

That late night walk, that early morning jog, that 24 hour job because you're saving for your dream house, DO THAT.

That staying up late doing the work, that not bathing because you don't feel like, that staying in at home for a rest day, that pajama day, that cheat day from the diet that you've been waiting on and desperately wanting, TAKE THAT, SNATCH IT AND DO IT ALL.

You're worth is priceless.

The consideration in India about women is mostly to fill the stomach of their families. The expectations of being the perfect daughter, the perfect sister, perfect mother, perfect wife, perfect friend and perfect everything is way too heavy for our hearts not shoulders. Because women don't mind the baggage on their shoulders, but they are more burdened with the society, its ways of judging her for everything it does. From late night walks in shorts to early morning gym for weight loss, from being skinny to not being the size zero, from not being able to cook food (as she won't be marriage eligible if she doesn't) to being lazy and not waking up till 1pm for a good resting day. WE WILL BE JUDGED, HATED AND MANIPULATED FOR WHATEVER WE DO. So, do it anyway. You will be called a slut even if you don't wear a mini skirt because you rejected a guy the other day as he was stalker, you will be called names and be stared on the streets regardless of wearing suits or burkhas. DO WHATEVER YOU WANT. Because they will hate you then, they hate you now, and they hated you before, but they will never be able to say it to your face. Why? You're better than those judging you, you're having the courage to do what they wanted to, you're stronger than what you think. And trust me, if girl on girl hate was lessened, the ego was less, the jealousy and the insecurities were less, the support was more then it would be a 1000 times better place for us girls to live. The male chauvinism would be destroyed to the core. ALAS, ONLY IF WE UNITE, WOULD IT HAPPEN SOONER.

DON'T BE USED TO BEING USED, DON'T BE USED TO BEING DOING THE THINGS THE SOCIETY WANTS FROM YOU. HAVE A POINT AND KEEP IT LOUD ENOUGH TO SHAKE THE CHAUVINIST MINDSET.

I know it is never easy. It is always said easily, than done. But try, and try and try harder each time, maybe not today, maybe not tomorrow, but maybe years later, or it could be tomorrow that you do have what you want. That you do have that freedom and that ease with which the men live and all we do is wish for it.

Be your own motivator, be your own inspiration, your own strength, your own support and pick yourself up. Stop depending on a validation from the people who would rather laugh on you or hate you, no matter how good you are. Be kind, but never let them walk all over you. You have to start somewhere, someday, do it sooner. Even the vessel overflows of excessive water, till when will you keep it all hidden inside, bearing it all by yourself?

IT IS ALL ABOUT REACHING YOUR TRUE POTENTIAL, RAISING YOURSELF INTO A QUEEN THAN RAISING GRADES OR KIDS. THE BIGGEST THING IS, " HOW YOU HAVE ALWAYS WANTED YOUR LIFE TO BE?". MAKE THAT DREAM LIFE, A BEAUTIFUL REALITY.
